On Friday 19th May 2017, I dreamt that a lady friend who I invited to and joined LAT met Kenneth and Gloria Copeland. Without Pastor Moses’ knowledge, I invited them to our Sunday service. At the beginning  of the service, Pastor requested the Copelands to bless the congregation, to which they obliged. With outstretched arms, as Pastor stood behind them, they innocently blessed us.

However, Pastor and I noticed something amiss, instead of imparting a blessing, the Copelands were taking something from us. That caused the congregation to look so tired and drained even as they lifted up their hands to receive a blessing.

Because of what they took from us, Pastor Moses expelled my friend from church. He got so angry at her for not letting him know that the Copelands were coming, which would have given the church enough time to prepare for their coming. He had just found them at church and felt compelled to let them say a word.

After they had left, while we all were in a state of disbelief at what had happened, Emmy Emuron came to Pastor in despair and said he had had a dream where the Copelands had come to take the presence of God from us; but before he had had the opportunity to tell him, he saw them at church.

Also, before the Sunday services began, we always had breakfast. But this time, because the Copelands were not going to stay for long, we had the service before breakfast. But after the service no one had appetite for the food.

Interpretation by Joseph Mpora

By this dream, God is communicating something that is so wonderful: prosperity is coming to LAT. Hallelujah! He is also telling us to be spiritually prepared for its coming, otherwise the presence of God that has been cultivated in our midst will be lost.

Kenneth and Gloria Copeland are especially known for the message and manifestation of Financial Prosperity. Therefore in the dream, that is what they symbolized. That they came when we were unprepared, means that we should not be found in that state when ‘money starts to rain upon us’. They intended to bless us, yet as they did so, they took the presence of God from us. That means if we are not careful, the blessing of financial prosperity will become a curse. We shall be rich financially but poor spiritually, lacking the presence of God.

Joan Isoke pointed out that breakfast before the service symbolized the ten-minutes prayer session we always have at the start of the service. The dream is depicting LAT relegating prayer from the top of their priority list to the bottom, all because of the coming of prosperity. To really show how prosperity had messed us up, we did not even have appetite for prayer (food) after the service. This further shows that we were not ready for God’s blessing of financial prosperity.

Application by Pastor Moses

The wisdom of Rick Joyner is needed at this time; he has always said, “Even the most glorious promised land would be a terrible place without God’s presence.” This same warning was given to the Israelites in the wilderness, before they went in to possess the land flowing with milk and honey. In Deuteronomy 8:10-18, Moses warned the people not to ever forget the Lord their God when they eventually “fall in things.” Those Israelites were told to always remember the Lord who is the reason for the ability to prosper.

That is the same message God is communicating to LAT in this season. We have learnt how to cooperate with the angels who are working to bring God’s promises to pass in our lives. Therefore, since the angels are going to deliver what they should, let us make a conscious decision that we shall keep the major Thing as the major when prosperity comes. God is the only major, because He is the Source of abundance. He should never lose first place in our lives. The church of the Laodecians in Revelation made that mistake. They became so rich, which caused them to become lukewarm. They lost their first love and the presence of God. That is why Jesus was knocking at their door, He desperately wanted to return to His people who were messed up by prosperity.

Let us prosper financially, for it is God’s will (3 John 2). Yet at the same time, let us never neglect our relationship with God. Let us always crave for His presence, even as we enjoy His blessing of prosperity.
