The morning after our 4th Anniversary Praise and Worship service, I woke up from a wonderful dream. In the dream, Juliana, our worship leader, came home to take my daughters Eden and Abigail for a walk. I decided to go with them. Although it was a long journey which my daughters had never taken before, they did not get tired.

At one point, we walked up a hill. At the peak of the hill was a house belonging to Juliana’s friend, a gentleman in his mid-thirties. He told us that he was of great help when National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) was doing some work in that area and as a reward, NWSC promised to bring him a tankful of water daily for the next ten years, which promise had never been broken. The water was always delivered in those enormous water-tank trucks that carry at least 10,000 litres. He then told us, “Whenever you need free water, just come up here because at any one time, I have too much of it.” The dream ended as we started descending the hill.

I believe this dream is talking about what happened on our anniversary. Our worship team led us in a session we had never had before as far as duration is concerned. Juliana taking my children for a long walk up a hill depicts this in the dream. Just as many of you witnessed, we ascended to heaven – the top of the hill. And while there, we encountered Jesus – Juliana’s friend in the same age group Jesus was when He left – with whom is living water (John 4:10). When Juliana’s friend says we should always go to his house for free water, it is Jesus giving us an open invitation to heaven any time we need living water – and it is free. “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come” (Isaiah 55:1). “And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely” (Revelation 22:17).

The other implication of this dream is that God was very pleased with the sacrifice of praise and worship that we gave Him. However, He hopes that you, my “Edens” and “Abigails”, will never stop going up to Him in worship. If we will ascend the holy mountain to His house, we shall be filled with Him. By the way, since you knew that praise and worship is more powerful with many people, you prayed for God to fill the room with people. He answered the prayers by enabling your friends and relatives to join us.

However, that was not the only way our prayers were answered. After the service, I learnt that there were at least ten Zambians who joined us. They were staying at Nob View Hotel while on a business trip to Uganda. When they heard the worship team practicing, they decided to come up for the service. Was that a coincidence? No, it wasn’t. When have we ever received more than two guests from the hotel? Why, on the anniversary Sunday, after praying for people to fill the room, did we get more than ten international visitors? Obviously, God was at work. He knew we wanted more incense to rise up to Him; therefore, unknowing to the Zambians, God ordered their footsteps to be in Uganda at the ‘right’ time, staying at the ‘right’ hotel. Surely God was looking forward to our anniversary.

Here is another interesting thing: My family is hosting a Ugandan friend who lives in Zambia. She has been with us since Sunday. At God’s house that LAT is, we hosted Zambians. At my house, we are hosting a ‘Zambian’. If this were a dream, what would it mean?

Thank you worship team for taking us to your Friend’s house. Please never stop doing so, especially since we have an open invitation. With the excess of the money from the anniversary contributions, we are pleased to take you and the children's church facilitators to dinner.

God bless you all, my “Edens” and “Abigails”. That you did not tire while taking a long journey up a hill is remarkable!
