While driving my wonderful girls to school on Monday, my mind was transfixed on the prophetic word (God Swears to LAT) I had shared at church the previous day. At the same time, I was listening to a Christian radio station. Words cannot express the joy I experienced when the presenter opened the Bible and read Isaiah 14:24:

The Lord of hosts has sworn, saying, “Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, And as I have purposed, so it shall stand.

You too should be excited just as I was, because this is further confirmation that when God swore to you on Sunday, He intended that you get more convinced that what He promised you will surely come to pass.

God Swears to LAT

When God swears to a person or people, it is meant to remove all doubt from their hearts concerning the fulfilment of His promises. As it is written, Accordingly God also, in His desire to show more convincingly and beyond doubt to those who were to inherit the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose and plan, intervened (mediated) with an oath. This was so that, by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we. . . might have . . . strong encouragement” (Hebrews 6:17-18 AMP)

Over the years, God kept reminding Abraham of the promise of blessing and multiplying him. But a day came when God did more than ‘just’ promising – He swore to Abraham. In our case too, God has continually reminded us of His promises. But it was only on Sunday 27th October that He swore that surely those promises will be realized. For Abraham, that day of God swearing to him came when he passed the test of offering his best – Isaac – to God as a sacrifice in accordance with God’s command. In our case, the day of God swearing to us came when we too passed the test of offering our best – worship – to God as a sacrifice in accordance with God’s command through two clear dreams that Esther, Bruce’s wife had.

May Sunday 27th October 2019 be indelibly tattooed in your memory as the day that God swore to you saying, “By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son— blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” (Genesis 22:16). He swore to you so that you can be more than sure that His promises to you individually (and to us corporately) are UNCHANGEABLE. Now you can have strong encouragement.

Please listen to that prophetic word over and over again. I intend to do the same. That is how strong faith is built.

God bless you.
