In several ways, God has proved to us that in this year 2020, we shall prosper in all that we do even as we delight and live according to His commandments.

It is written: “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season. Whose leaf shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. (Psalm 1:1-3)

Now, one of the areas in which we are going to prosper – as we delight in God’s commandments – is our finances. More money is coming our way in 2020. Hallelujah!

When that money comes, we should enjoy it because God “gives us all things richly to enjoy” (1 Timothy 6:17). At the same time, when our finances are increased, we should also increase our giving. Being empowered to give more is one of the reasons why God gives more money to Christians, and it is one of the reasons why He is going to ‘put more money in our wallets’.

As we are generous with giving of the increase that is coming our way, God will meet all our needs and He will also enable us to have a lot of money to give to projects He will want us to be a part of. (2 Corinthians 9:8)

As we turn some of the increase coming our way into ‘seed-sown’ by giving it away, God will give us even more seed to sow so that our righteousness (generous works) are increased. (2 Corinthians 9:10)

Therefore, when more money starts coming in, let us enjoy it. Yet at the same time we must generously give away some of it. When we do so, we will further be “enriched in everything for all liberality or generosity” (2 Corinthians 9:11).

God bless you.
