In a dream Joan Isoke had on 29th March 2020, God instructed us to meditate on His Word so as to experience His peace during this COVID-19 pandemic. As it is written: “You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.” (Isaiah 26:3)

One of the Words we are supposed to meditate upon that specifically addresses COVID-19 in Uganda is the dream Dr. Dennis Mugimba had on 20th March 2020. I will write this dream again for your own good because repetition leads to retention. And, as someone once said, ‘You have not really listened to or heard something until you begin asking why it is being repeated over and over again’ (paraphrased). Here then is Dennis’ dream and the obvious interpretation which you must continually mediate upon so as to keep sober in this crisis that has caused fear to grip masses worldwide:

In this dream, I saw a person standing but I couldn’t recognize who it was. I asked myself in the dream who this person was. I was told that the person was Uganda. As I looked, I saw a hat like a cowboy’s suddenly appear and placed on this person’s head. I then asked myself what the hat meant. I was told that the hat was for protection just like how a helmet protects.

Interpretation: Since I went to bed having been praying about protection for Uganda against the Coronavirus, I believe that the dream was revealing that Uganda is protected against the Coronavirus pandemic. That a hat for protection was placed on the head of a man called Uganda means that God has Uganda covered against COVID-19.

If you have been following the news, you can testify that surely God is watching over this dream to fulfil it. Hallelujah.

The other Word that God would want you to meditate upon is those things which He promised you before the coronavirus went wild. In an article The Storm Is Here But We Are Crossing Over! by Johnny Enlow which Denise Ayume shared with me a couple of days ago, we learn something very profound and deeply inspiring. In Mark chapter4, Jesus tells the disciples that, “Let us cross over to the other side”. Next we see that as they crossed the Sea of Galilee, a great storm suddenly came upon them. However, the storm did not nullify Jesus’ word or intentions to ‘cross over to the other side’. In fact, they did indeed cross over as intended by the Lord prior to the great storm.

In the same way, what God promised you before this pandemic is still valid before the faithful One and Promise Keeper. The great storm of COVID-19 will not stop God from holding your hand and leading you across into the land of fulfilled promises. Therefore, do not waver in unbelief; simply continue believing God because “He who promised is faithful” (Hebrews 10:23). He watches over His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12).

God bless you.
