We are in the last years of the end times when more calamities like the COVID-19 pandemic must come as predicted by the Bible (Matthew 24:7; Revelation 6:1-8). There is therefore going to be a great need for individuals and churches in the Order of Joseph.

When God communicated to Pharaoh that a severe famine was coming, Joseph gave this wise counsel:

Now therefore, let Pharaoh select a discerning and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt. Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, to collect one-fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt in the seven plentiful years. And let them gather all the food of those good years that are coming, and store up grain under the authority of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities. Then that food shall be as a reserve for the land for the seven years of famine which shall be in the land of Egypt, that the land may not perish during the famine. (Genesis 41:33-36)

Pharaoh chose Joseph who indeed implemented that counsel. Two years into the famine, this is what Joseph had to say to his brothers:

For these two years the famine has been in the land, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting. And God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. (Genesis 45:6-7)

In the time of severe lack, Joseph’s Egypt was a ‘city of refuge’ especially for Abraham’s descendants who God had to preserve. This was so because Joseph stored up some food during the times of abundance. Likewise, there have got to be individuals and churches that have huge financial reserves to provide for and thereby preserve God’s children in the famines that must come.

In 2014, I had a dream in which I was told the approximate number of years (but neither the day nor hour) we have left before Jesus returns. These years were not many. We have so far knocked off six! The last 3.5 years preceding the Lord’s return (and the rapture) are going to be of “Great Tribulation” especially for the saints not only because of natural disasters, but also because of the persecution by the Anti-Christ (the then One World Government ruler). If my dream was from God, (and I believe it was), you ought to realize that we are not only very close to the Lord’s return, but even closer to the great tribulation and the days of terrible famine.

For that matter, the Church and individual Christians of means need to adequately prepare to provide for and thereby preserve the brethren when the famines come. The good news is that this does not call for the ‘rocket science’ kind of wisdom. We just have to apply the simple but profound wisdom of Joseph – we must start saving money now.

God bless you.
