10th May 2020: PRAISE GOD PASTOR MOSES-WONDER WHY U GIVE YOUR 4N NO#,& NEVER PICK.+ U KEEP PREACH'N ABT HELPING THOSE IN NEED,BUT U CAN'T RESPOND TO JST 1 DESPERATE CRY 4HELP.

25th May 2020: Good afternoon Pastor. Today while in my quiet time l asked God to send me money to clear some things. I asked for 500K to be exact. I told Him, “I believe You and I will always delight in You.” Then I went on with my day. Shortly after, Rachel our Church Administrator called me. She said she was sending me money. I asked what it was for. She said it was from LAT to help me during this lockdown period. I was overwhelmed when I got the message (money); it was the exact money I asked God for this morning. Pastor, I have been to many churches but I have never been to a church where the Pastor gives his people money. LAT is a very special church and I am proud to be associated with it.

The first interesting text message (if you were able to understand it) was from an individual whose number I do not know. S/he wanted money from me. The major reason for ignoring their pleas (genuine or otherwise) was because I felt that the Lord wanted me to use our church savings for the care of only the flock under my oversight. I could have been wrong in my judgment. However, I really felt uncomfortable sharing the little ‘children’s food’ with this particular stranger who had tuned in to our radio program. My discernment was proved correct days later when I received that unfortunate text message from that person. No good person can respond in such a manner when their requests are not granted. That is how the children’s bread was preserved for those to whom it lawfully belonged like the sender of the second message.

Imagine the joy I felt when that LAT member told me that we had sent her the exact amount of money she had asked God for that day during the lockdown! That to me was a confirmation from God that we had used His money the right way. Hallelujah!

I told you at the beginning of the lockdown that we had started using the little church savings, and the monies which came in during that period, for the welfare of our own church brothers and sisters. The savings were accumulated over a period of time. In February 2019, because we did not want that money to depreciate in value as a result of inflation, we bought treasury bills. Now, here is something amazing: those treasury bills matured about a week before the lockdown! That means that we entered the lockdown with money that was going to offer assistance to our members. To me that was God at work; we received our cash savings just before an economic famine. God really cares about LAT.

Now, the church savings that have been given as assistance to our own were not mine –they were yours because they came from your tithes and offerings. That is why when anyone would call or text me to say “thank you Pastor,” my response was always: “It is not me; it is LAT.”

Therefore, I want to thank every one of you for the past and present financial contributions towards God’s work in LAT. We are a financially prosperous church, in our small way, because of you. Your generosity has enabled us to provide for our fellow brothers and sisters during this difficult time. As God enables us, we shall continue to use your money to give relief to the brethren during the partial lockdown.

May God remember your sacrifices, and may He bless you accordingly. “For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God. Because of the proof given by this ministry, they will glorify God for your obedience to your confession of the gospel of Christ and for the liberality of your contribution to them and to all, while they also, by prayer on your behalf, yearn for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you.” (2 Corinthians 9:12-14)

Amen.
