I believe Rick Joyner (one of my heroes) when he says that it is not mere coincidence that in Revelation 21:8, cowards top the list of sinners who shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone. Cowardice, especially when we fail to stand for the truth when God most needs our witness, is a very terrible thing. For that matter, we must fight cowardice the best we know how, even as we ask God to help us grow in boldness. This is especially crucial in these last days when those who call evil good are bent on persecution in order to silence the voice which exposes evil.

The first person I remember who caused me to pursue boldness for Jesus was a preacher called Roberts Liardon. I was new in the faith when I first watched a video of him preaching at a Morris Cerullo conference. The boldness with which he commanded the congregation to live for God was one I had never seen before and probably have not witnessed in any other preacher since.

Another person who inspires me in boldness is President Donald Trump. You can only appreciate Trump’s boldness (or courage) if you understand how powerful the Establishment he is fighting is, and the ferocity of demonic powers which cannot rest until they extinguish the light of God that Trump has brightly shined in the world. Trump will go down in history as one of the boldest people of our generation who, against all odds, stood for the truth of God. Those who are wise should study him, and they should ask God to give them the boldness He gave Trump. Hallelujah!

A few days ago, on Monday to be exact, while watching Frances and Friends on Jimmy Swaggart’s SBN (Son Broadcasting Network), I came across a young lady who also inspired me to be bold for Jesus. Candace Owens is her name. She is a Black American that is swimming against the tide by trumpeting the blessing Donald Trump is to Blacks in America, while exposing the falsehoods and evils of the Democratic Party (a darling of African-Americans) and its leaders like Barack Obama. For someone that young – and being Black at that – to boldly proclaim the truth as she does, choosing to stand for Jesus rather than to be accepted by her fellow Blacks who are deceived, is indeed praise-worthy.

Guys, we are in the very last of the last days. Sin (including deception) is abounding as Jesus and His bondservants prophesied. God needs men and women who will accept to be used by Him to boldly confront the evil that seeks to take people to hell. God needs men and women like John the Baptist who was bold enough to confront Herod in his sin. These men and women that God is seeking must, however, know that like John the Baptist who was imprisoned and beheaded for his Godly boldness, life will not always be smooth sailing. Thankfully, whatever happens to such people, Jesus will have only great things to say of them like it was with John. We are sure that John will be one of the greatest people in the kingdom of God. In the same way, we too shall be great in eternity if we choose to be bold for Christ irrespective of the suffering that comes with it. Hallelujah!

May you be like John the Baptist, or Donald Trump, or Roberts Liardon, or Candace Owens, or like whichever Godly bold person you know. You are the person God is counting on in these last days of great evil and deception. Do not be a coward. Cowardice is costly, but boldness will reward you for all eternity.

Remember that “. . . the righteous are bold as a lion.” (Proverbs 28:1)

God bless you.
