Starting last week on Sunday 25th October, I out of the blue developed a deep interest in the story of Abraham and the covenant God cut with him to become a multitude of peoples and a blessing to the nations. It was later in the week that I realized that God was reiterating to me, and LAT at large, the oath He made last year, that like Abraham, we shall by all means not only become a multitude of peoples, but also a blessing to the nations. Interestingly, I realized later that this reiteration was coming exactly one year from the day, (Sunday 27th October 2019), when the oath was given. Hallelujah!

Now, after I delivered God’s oath last year by a Sunday sermon, that Monday I received an undeniable confirmation that indeed God had sworn to us. While driving my daughters to school that morning, I started thinking of the oath God had made to LAT the previous day. Then at that very moment a certain preacher on 98.4 FM Impact Radio read Isaiah 14:24: “The LORD of hosts has sworn, saying, “Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, And as I have purposed, so it shall stand.” Hallelujah!

What is amazing is that history repeated itself this week. For after Sunday 1st November when I delivered God’s reiteration of His oath, on Monday I received an undeniable confirmation that indeed God had reiterated His oath that LAT will by all means, no matter what, become all that He previously promised it. While supervising my daughters’ homeschooling on Monday morning, I kept asking God what he would want me to read in the Bible. After about an hour, I decided to read Genesis 35 because it was going to be part of my Bible Hebrew lessons later in the day when my girls are done with school. The shocker came to me in verse ten where God tells Jacob that, “Your name is Jacob; your name shall not be called Jacob anymore, but Israel shall be your name.” This was simply a reiteration of what God had years earlier told Jacob in Genesis 32:28 (Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel). When I continued to read verses eleven and twelve of Genesis 35, I was shocked to realize that they too were reiterations of what God had years earlier, in Genesis 32:13-14, told Jacob concerning becoming innumerable and inheriting the land of Canaan (now Israel) forever. Surely God was speaking to me – He was confirming His reiteration. Glory be to His name!

For God to speak to us this clearly, last year and this year, is a very serious matter, and something to praise Him for. He wants us to know that nothing in the universe will stop LAT from becoming His house of “great magnificence, fame and splendor in the sight of all the nations” (1 Chronicles 22:5) among other things.

When Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were few in number, and indeed very few, God made an oath to them and reiterated it several times. “He remembers His covenant forever, The word which He commanded . . . The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac, And confirmed it to Jacob . . . Saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan . . .,” When they were few in number, Indeed very few” (Psalms 105:9-12). This is exactly what God is doing with us when we are few in number, and indeed very few. He swore to us last year, and has exactly a year later reiterated His oath. Therefore, no matter where we are now, or what we might go through in days to come, know certainly that nothing in all creation can stop the good that God swore to do in and through us (LAT).

God bless you.
