I was outside playing with my sister Eden in the afternoon, although it was dark. Then I saw Jesus sitting on His white horse and coming down to Earth. Jesus’ hair was black and His skin color was light brown. He was wearing a white robe. He looked kind and beautiful. He smiled at me and I felt happy. Then I ran home into the house to tell Daddy, Mummy and Eden that, “Jesus is coming back. Sorry for the bad things I have done.” Then I bathed three times so that I might be clean when Jesus comes. Then I told Daddy, Mummy and Eden to be prepared because if we do bad things on Earth we might go to hell, and if we do good things we will go to Heaven. Then Jesus came back – and we had prepared ourselves! Therefore, Daddy, Mummy, Eden and I went to Heaven with Jesus. When I awoke, I felt like I was still in Heaven.

My seven-year-old Abigail had the above dream on 28th November 2020. She ‘accidentally’ and casually told me about it ten days later! While we did our morning devotions, I told her and Eden her sister that since we are children of Abraham, when we die, we shall go to Him in Heaven. Interestingly, I had been praying to God to give me what to write for Pastor Moses’ Word for the Week. Then Abigail told me her dream.

People, Abigail’s dream is a reiteration from the Lord that He is indeed coming back very soon and He must find us ready if He is to take us to Heaven. Many individuals, including children, some of whom I know personally, have had dreams similar to Abigail’s. The message in the dreams is that we must be prepared in holiness for the soon return of our Lord.

We live in times in which the false grace gospel is prevalent. This doctrine, which I once believed and promoted, says that if a person has ever accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour, they have an automatic ticket to Heaven and the coming Kingdom of Heaven. According to this doctrine of demons, there is nothing like falling away from God, and our sins do not really matter in as far as living with God in eternity is concerned. Those who believe this lie ignore or twist – to their eternal destruction – Scriptures such as:

  1. Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord. (Hebrews 12:14)
  2. Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)
  3. But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them. (Ephesians 5:3-7)

Folks, we must walk in holiness and righteousness if we are to see the Lord and inherit His Kingdom. We are called to be disciples of Jesus – those who observe His commandments (Matthew 28:18-20). If we lightly esteem those commandments and live like children of the Devil, we shall end up in hell. However, if we delight in living according to God’s commands – which are by the way not burdensome (1 John 5:3) – then we shall inherit eternal life.

In Abigail’s words from the dream, “be prepared because if we do bad things on Earth we might go to hell, and if we do good things we will go to Heaven.”

God bless you.
