About ten years ago, I experienced a period of many months when I daily prayed in tongues for more hours than I had ever done before. When I inquired of the Lord why He had enabled me to do this, He answered me by a dream. In that dream, He told me that He had graced me with the ability to pray in tongues longer than I had ever done before because, unknown to me, by praying in tongues, I was pushing back forces of evil that were on assignment to destroy my life.
This experience was a real life lesson to me concerning the importance of praying in tongues. When we pray in tongues, we are very often praying for extremely important matters that our minds do not know. This should inspire every one of us in LAT to pray in tongues, especially at this time when God has revealed it to us that by prayer, the new phase we have started be shorter than the previous one. As you are aware, God revealed it to us on 30th August 2021 that LAT had entered a new phase of ministry, and that this phase should be shorter than the previous one if we intercede.
Now, what exactly are we to address in our intercession so that this phase is shorter than the previous one? We are not certain! However, this uncertainty cannot stop us from praying the exact will of God. By the Holy Spirit within us – as we pray in tongues – we shall be praying for exactly what God wants us to pray so that we complete this new phase in a shorter period than the previous one. It is written in Romans 8:26 that: “The Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought.” It is also written in 1 Corinthians 14:2 that, “He who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God.” In the current context of LAT, when we put these two verses together, we see that the Holy Spirit will help us overcome our uncertainty of what to pray for as we pray in tongues. For when we pray in tongues, it is the Holy Spirit praying to God on our behalf, through our spirits.
I therefore call upon all of you to pray in tongues for LAT. As you pray in tongues, having on your mind the matter of us taking a shorter time for this new phase, you will be praying the perfect will of God. And if we all take this matter seriously, continuing in prayer even when the excitement wanes, then we shall see the fruit of our prayers – the completion of this new phase in a shorter time, to the glory of God.
