In appreciating our worship team (Bruce, Esther, Teddy Kobusinge, Andrew, Glory, Brian, Robin, Praise, Edison and Grace Joy), we mustn’t forget to also give thanks to three non-worship team church members who work with them to make our worship an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.

Before I do that, I need to first thank the person who sent me money for the worship team last week. That person has always been blessed by the worship team, and was also very touched by last week’s Word for the Week. He therefore decided to buy a decent lunch for every one of the people listed above. May God bless that individual.

Now back to the three church members who are not in the worship team but work with the team to bring about the praise and worship that we are sure our God is very pleased with:

We thank God for Sam and Joan Isoke who for several years now having been footing the rent bill for the music studio where the worship team does its rehearsals on Saturdays. Sam and Joan, thank you so much for carrying that load week in week out, whether or not you are doing well financially. This service that you have rendered for many years does not only lighten the church’s financial ‘burden’, but also enables all of us to give acceptable praise and worship unto God. I know you are aware that what you have been doing in secret from many church members is naked before the face of the recipient of the worship. And because He is a rewarder of good deeds, know for certain that He has a reward for both of you because of your generosity towards our worship team.

The third and last person that deserves our appreciation and God’s blessing for financially standing with our worship team is Moses Tumusiime who now works and lives abroad. When Moses left Uganda (and thus LAT) he had a dream from God that gave him a go-ahead to do for our worship team that which was in his heart. Since he left us, he has consistently sent our administrator Rachel money every week specifically for the worship team. Interestingly, when Moses notified us that he was going to start sending that money, I was also praying to God concerning that money. I needed God to tell me that a certain amount of money would be available every month for the worship team. As I said, it was at the moment that Moses who didn’t know about my concern and prayer, received a dream from God to be the person through whom God would provide us that money. Our wish for Moses doesn’t differ from that which we have for Sam and Joan Isoke: May God reward Moses for the great service he has rendered to our church and specifically to the worship team. Amen.

God bless you.
