The first secret of prayer is that we never really pray many things but one. Jesus said we should speak to one mountain and not mountains. Prayers by Paul and the Early Church always earmarked the many things presented as coming from one root of focus. Double-mindedness and conflict of interest on pressing needs will deny us prayer results; in the same manner prey is denied to an indecisive predator. These and more thoughts are the necessary revisions to the ways we Christians ought to pray.
