There are four categories of worship: the worship of everyday life then the non-everyday-life worship that isn't singing (like prayer and giving) then the singing or song service and then the worship proper which can be done without even doing anything at all, since it is a heart thing. They are different and yet they are rarely standalones because they are each other's expression, the way that praise, like poetry, is the expression of love or devotion which otherwise would feel denied. It is this amplification of what is real even when low-key that gets people up where emotions are in the shape for God to make a showdown.
