The last two Sundays, and the last two Words for the Week, God has wanted us to focus on the message that He gave me in a dream on Monday 15th June 2026. Even now, I sense that He is in no hurry to move onto something else. That is why I will again talk about that dream and its message.
I dreamt that I had completed O Level exams at St. Mary's College Kisubi. Before the results came back, I joined another school in the Tooro region for my Senior Five. I was in the company of another student from Kisubi called Kakwano. I recall telling Kakwano that if one wants to learn Rutooro, such a school that is in Tooro is ideal. At that school, a certain Reverend Kintu Muhanga would come every morning to our classroom to pray for the students.
I had a feeling of certainty that I would not make it to university from this school in Tooro. I was therefore ready to return to Kisubi, a more academically superior school, if I were readmitted upon the release of the O Level results.
Then I awoke.
As I drove to church on Sunday the day before the dream, I thought about friendship with Jesus.
When I got to church, and before I got out of the car, I thought about God's promise to our church of supernatural numerical growth. I felt God's love so powerfully as He told me that no matter what, that promise will, by all means, come to pass. He reminded me that this is sure because He made an oath to that effect on 27th October 2019.
I also remembered, and even read about when, as Jacob was fleeing from Esau, was told by God that, "Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you” (Genesis 28:15).
When I got to preach, I told you that God loves us so much. I also told you about a little child, Sanyu, who calls me "mukwano gwange" (my friend).
Now, a brief history: At the beginning of 2024, God told us to pray until something happens concerning His promise to us of supernatural numerical growth. Then, four/five months later, God told us that our prayers had been successful in the spirit realm, and we should now wait for the tangible results on earth. In order not to overthink about how God was going to bring about those tangible results, I decided to occupy my mind with learning Rutooro, the language of Tooro. As I embarked on this journey, I realized that it was actually God who placed in my heart the desire to learn Rutooro.
Now you can see why in the dream I went to school in Tooro, after I completed my O Level exams in Kisubi. Yet, I hoped to return to Kisubi when the results were released. That is exactly what God had told me in the car: "Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.” (Genesis 28:15).
Notice that just as God was with Jacob while in exile according to Genesis 28:15, so was He also with me in Tooro after leaving Kisubi temporarily. He was with me in the person of my classmate Kakwano, whose name literally means "dear friend." A friend loves, just as the little girl Sanyu, who I talked about in the sermon, really loves me and calls me her friend. This confirmed that the message we had been receiving in church, about God's great love for us, was indeed a word in due season from Him. Hence, Kakwano, a friend who loves, being with me in the dream. To me personally, the Lord was telling me that He is my very good friend!
The dream also showed us that we indeed completed a phase of ministry when we "prayed until something happened." We are in a holiday of sorts, as we wait to start another phase (A Level in the dream). During this holiday, I am learning Rutooro, and I will surely learn it, given Reverend Kintu's prayers in the dream.
Our holiday, during which I am learning Rutooro, will come to an end, and we shall commence the phase of realising our promise of supernatural numerical growth. Just as God promised Jacob to bring him back to the Promised Land, and indeed that happened, I/we too shall return from "Tooro to Kisubi", to inherit our promise of abundant numerical growth/multiplication.
So then, He Who loves us so much is with us in the holding phase that we are in as a church. He is reaffirming that no matter what, His promise to us, the oath He made on 27th October 2019, will, by all means, come to pass. Nothing can hinder it. Hallelujah!
Accordingly God also, in His desire to show more convincingly and beyond doubt to those who were to inherit the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose and plan, intervened (mediated) with an oath. This was so that, by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God ever to prove false or deceive us, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before [us]. (Hebrews 6:17-18 AMPC)
God bless you.
