Trials are primarily designed by the Enemy to cause us to give up on the word we received from God. That is one of the lessons from Jesus' parable of the sower (Luke 8:13, Matthew 13:21). When we understand that, we shall respond to trials as those who are not ignorant of the Devil's schemes.
Our response to trials must be spiritual since trials themselves originate from the spirit realm. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against evil spiritual entities (Ephesians 6:12). And the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God (2 Corinthians 10:4).
When faced with trials, do all you can in the natural to deal with the trial. But this one spiritual thing you mustn't ever stop doing - meditate and speak the word you received from God. This makes total sense if we really understand Jesus' teaching that trials only come to make us drop the promise/word we received from God. That means that when we are faced with trials, we should never lose sight of or get our focus off the word of promise. We must discern which word in your life the Enemy is after, and in faith hold onto that word. Only then will you succeed and see victory concerning the word you received from God.
God bless you.
