The very first promise which God gave mankind was the coming of the Redeemer (Genesis 3:14-15). In the fullness of time, after thousands of years of waiting, God fulfilled His promise when Jesus was born (Galatians 4:4). The lesson for us here is that we should trust God to do what He promised us, even when it seems like we have waited for a very long time.
