Exactly twenty one years ago on 2nd November 2000, God clearly spoke to me from 1 Chronicles 22:5 that I would one day build Him a congregation (or house) of great magnificence, fame, and splendor in the sight of all the nations. This message came to me twice that day. First it was in the morning while I was reading the Bible as part of my cover-to-cover schedule. When I got to 1 Chronicles 22:5, a very strong presence of God came over me and a sweet warmth filled my heart. By that I knew that the Lord had spoken to me through that verse. Then later that evening, after many weeks of not watching television because of the academic demands of my last year at University, I switched on the television to see “what is on TV these days.” Imagine the shock that hit me when immediately the TV came on Bishop Wilfred Lai of Jesus Celebration Center in Mombasa was reading 1 Chronicles 22:5!

In view of the recent bomb blasts that have taken place in the last few days, I thought I should share with you again an article I wrote in June when Gen. Katumba Wamala survived an assassination, and his daughter was killed. The message of that article was - and still is - that we shouldn't worry about our safety, but rather commit it to the Lord our Protector.
