At Last Adam Tabernacle we believe that a prayer-less church is a powerless group of people meeting simply as a social club.
In the beginning, after God created the earth and everything in it, He gave it to man to exercise dominion over it (Genesis 1:26). Through the transgression and subsequent fall of Adam, that dominion was given to Satan (Matthew 4:8,9).
The good news is that by the birth, crucifixion, death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the devil was defeated; dominion and authority were restored to man (Matthew 28:18,19).
Through prayer we fulfill our original mandate of rulership over this planet. Therefore it is in and by prayer that we see the kingdom of God established in the earth.
Prayer is also a wonderful privilege for us God’s children. When we yield and spend time with Him through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, we are able to commune with God in ways that are humanly impossible. Paul admonishes us to pray without ceasing, 1 Thessalonians 5:17; meaning that the life of a Christian is that of constant fellowship with God. In Ephesians 6:18 Paul says, “Pray at all times—on every occasion, in every season—in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty” (Amplified Bible).
Therefore, at Last Adam Tabernacle we vow never to stop praying. For unless we pray, God is not committed to intervene in the affairs of man - because the earth He has given to the sons of men (Psalms 115:16).
Join us every Thursday 5:30 to 8:00pm for corporate prayer.
