Last Adam Tabernacle will by all means walk in all that the Lord promised her. The little time we have left until we see this begin to happen must be spent taking to heart the things that will enable us to ‘forever’ dwell in our Promised Land. Key among those things that will safeguard us where we are going is humility.
It should always be at the forefront of our mind that, “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16:18). It is for that reason that we must guard against walking in pride as a church, towards other congregations. It is by grace, not by our works, that God is going to exalt and use us mightily. If we walk in humility, God will continue to shower His grace upon us, and He will continue to use us to be a blessing. But if we fall for the deception that we are “self-made”, that will be the beginning of a fall from grace and the favor of God.
During the last couple of our Thursday prayer meetings, we have been praying that the fruit of the Holy Spirit should abound in our lives. I believe this is timely. Realize that humility is also a fruit of the Spirit. Since we really need to walk in humility where God is taking us, I believe it is in order that we also seriously pray for humility. In addition to all the other things we are PUSH-ing for, let us also add onto the prayer list this very important matter – humility.
