One of my jobs is to keep tabs on every major promise God gives us as a church. Last Sunday was exactly five years since God made an oath to us, that He would by all means do what He promised us, including becoming the largest church in the city. Webale Webale akumalako ebibyo. Etasima ebula agiwa. Those two wonderful Luganda proverbs are enduring lessons on the importance of gratefulness. The first one means that a person who continuously thanks you for what you give them will eventually take all that you have, because you will always feel like giving them more. The second proverb means that a soul that is never grateful lacks one to give to it.
