Very often, Satan strikes just after a great testimony, and around times of major transition. Those moments of attack are in accordance with 1 Corinthians 16:9 which Joan Isoke highlighted on Sunday 19th May. We are no exception to that verse. But we shall survive and even thrive.
When Jesus was born, the devil wanted to kill Him to thwart the salvation plan of God. All the male babies who had been born in Bethlehem and all its districts at about the same time as Jesus were killed by the devil in Herod. But Jesus survived, and later disarmed principalities and powers, destroying the works of the devil (Col 2:15; 1 Jn 3:8).
Even the birth of Moses, the great deliverer of Israel from the jaws of the devil, came with the devil murdering male Israelite babies. But Moses survived, and accomplished the will of God.
When our child Eden was born in the States, many people who got to learn of that powerful testimony were so blessed and encouraged to become real givers. Days later, as my wife Geraldine was in the kitchen carrying Eden, she fell down with the baby for no obvious reason. Thankfully, no harm befell the baby, but my wife badly twisted her knee. One of us then dreamt that there had been a demon in the kitchen that intended to harm, or even kill the great testimony – mother and baby.
Geraldine wondered how she would carry another pregnancy on a bad knee. But when that time came, she dreamt that a man of God was doing surgery on her knee, and she carried that pregnancy with no knee issues whatsoever. Hallelujah! Thereafter, Abigail’s birth too occurred in the States with an even more edifying testimony than Eden’s. A few weeks after we returned to Uganda, I had a dream in which Geraldine had passed away, and we were burying her in the village. In the dream, two-year old Eden was feeding her baby sister, because ‘mummy’ had passed on! I don’t remember ever having a dream that caused me as much sorrow as that one. I knew God was revealing to me the plan of the enemy to kill my wife who had a crucial role in the making of a very powerful testimony and object lesson. I prayed seriously against Satan’s plans to take her away from us. She survived, and she is alive.
Shortly after LAT which was destined to bless the nation had started, a friend of mine dreamt that the devil had placed a lethal powder at the entrance of the church hall. His plan was for me to inhale the powder as I entered church, so that I die and the church gets wiped off the scene. In the dream, the dreamer came and blew away the powder. I survived, and so did LAT. Hallelujah!
In the aftermath of these events, when LAT was just a few months-old baby, there was a major devil-inspired attack against her, following my resignation from Zoe Fellowship. But baby LAT survived, and she is still here today.
Subsequently, a few days before we launched my book “Financial Prosperity, Breaking the Back of Poverty”, which God told me to write, I was involved in a head-on collision with another car, whose driver was extremely drunk. I was supposed to die, just as someone had dreamt. It was apparent that the devil didn’t want that book to come out. Nonetheless, I survived, and launched the book.
Now, in Dennis Mugimba’s 7th August 2023 dream, it was said of the jacaranda tree (LAT) that it would blossom (grow numerically). That dream also revealed that we shall be attacked by the devil about that time the blossoming was starting. We have entered that time, and therefore we must partake of 1 Corinthians 16:9: “For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.”
LAT is going to be attacked by Satan, but she will survive just like at her birth. Jesus, Moses, my wife, my Eden, and I did survive death in time past – so shall LAT. Remember that God swore that we must grow numerically to a certain level.
In view of some powerful dreams, I wrote last week that we should PUSH for: 1) What is true of us in the spirit realm to become a reality in the natural realm, and 2) What we should do to make this happen. Now I hasten to add a third prayer point: for the devil’s attacks against our church in this major transitional period, and the impact of those attacks, to be lessened or better still made insignificant.
