One of my jobs is to keep tabs on every major promise God gives us as a church. Last Sunday was exactly five years since God made an oath to us, that He would by all means do what He promised us, including becoming the largest church in the city. And today is also exactly five years since I wrote about that oath, following the Sunday it was made. (When God Swore to You (30th Oct 2019) (lat.church))

The Bible says that “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life” (Proverbs 13:12). Based on the oath made to us five years ago, we can be sure that our hearts won’t become sick for waiting longer than necessary. Every message regarding our church growth that has come to us from God since last year has indicated that we are right on track. Just last Saturday Christine Mugimba had a dream to that effect, which she wasn’t able to share because she didn’t make it to church.

God is going to perform what He promised, and He will do so just in time, before our hearts get sick. We are not going to wait any longer than we should. And when all this is over, all of us will have learnt a major lesson, which we shall evidently need thereafter, that GOD IS A PROMISE KEEPER. This lesson will be a blessing to millions, who will be asking where we came from. And, it will also be an inspiration to us who have walked this years-long journey of holding onto the promises of God. God is in the process of creating a key message in us for millions of people in the nations of the world.
