During the prayer meeting two weeks ago, God began to talk to us about the goodness He is going to reward us with. He said, “I am going to do you good, give you rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, fill your hearts with food and gladness” (Acts 14:17). Then on Sunday 9th September He told us to ask Him, through prayer and fasting, what we were to receive individually.

The sermon on 16th September ended with us reading Psalms 126 again for emphasis, and with the admonition to meditate on it because it had everything God wanted us to hear. Later, Christine Mugimba informed me that while we prayed on Thursday, the song “Bringing in the Sheaves” by Knowles Shaw kept ringing in her heart. As I read Psalms 126, she was so blessed as I read verse six: “He who goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, BRINGING SHEAVES WITH HIM.”

This should be taken as confirmation that what we heard on Sunday were words from our Father God. Indeed, this is the season of rewards wherein He is going to bless us with financial increase. The Bible says, “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest...shall not cease” (Genesis 8:22). Therefore, during this season, we should expect returns on our giving.

I am reminded of a dream Juliana (our worship team leader) had in June 2015 where we were singing a certain song, repeating the line “Showers of Blessing” over and over again. That line was taken from the Bible where the Lord said, “I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing” (Ezekiel 34:26). Back then, many individuals received the promised showers of blessings. The dreamer herself got a scholarship to pursue her master’s degree in America. Well, the song now is: “Bringing in the Sheaves”. Every one of us will surely bring in the sheaves.

I encourage you once again to take time to meditate on Psalms 126 which says: “When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.” The LORD has done great things for us, and we are glad. Bring back our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the South. Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”

God bless you.
