Some of you regular readers of Pastor Moses’ Word for the Week might be wondering why I have been going on and on about keeping God’s commandments like I have nothing else to say. The answer is that God gave me this commission in a dream.

In 2006, I dreamt that I was at a party seated with Joyce Meyer and Creflo Dollar, then a renowned preacher of financial prosperity. I told Joyce Meyer, “I would rather listen to you talking about love, but when it comes to prosperity, I would rather listen to Creflo Dollar.” Joyce Meyer then told me, “Young man, never separate those two things.” I then told both of them, “Joyce Meyer, you preach about love; and Creflo Dollar, you preach about prosperity. But as for me, I will preach both.” By the time the party ended, it was raining outside. I saw Joyce Meyer and Creflo Dollar standing under the same umbrella, and then I awoke.

In that dream, God was giving me two of the key messages I was to deliver to the Church – love and prosperity. At the same time, He was teaching me that those two operate together under the same umbrella and one leads to the other.

Now, what is love? Jesus said, “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me” (John 14:21).  Therefore, when I go on and on about keeping God’s commandments, I am actually preaching love. And by doing so, I am fulfilling the calling I received from God in a dream. If you want to prosper, then love God by obeying His commandments. Love and prosperity are inseparable Siamese twins.

What I am telling you – that love which is defined as obedience results in financial prosperity – is actually supported by the Holy Scriptures. Moses said, “If you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God” (Deuteronomy 28:1-2). Then he went on to list those blessings, which include physical prosperity.

It might also be observed that I was named after Moses and I am called to walk in his footsteps. Moses was a stutterer; so am I. Moses was a prophet; so am I. Moses was leader of a nation; so was I placed by God in the Church leadership lineage of Apostle Deo Balabyekubbo, Pastor Robert Kayanja, and Apostle Dr. Joseph Serwadda. Moses built God a tabernacle; so am I doing with Last Adam Tabernacle. Moses told the people to love God by obeying His laws in order to prosper in Canaan. I too preach love (obedience to the commandments) which will result in the prosperity of Christians in Uganda. It is no wonder then that in other dreams in 2015 that involved President Yoweri Museveni and Bishop David Oyedepo, God anointed me the spiritual Financial Prosperity President of Uganda.

Other than the stuttering, the other attributes of Moses that are similar to my destiny have not yet come to fruition. However, they will be fully manifested in God’s good time if I stay on course.

Now you know why I have been repeating myself in the previous articles. I did not intend to do so; I found myself gravitating towards what I was born to do – to tell Christians that they will prosper if they love God by obeying His commandments. When I do that, I am fulfilling my assignment.

More importantly, when Christians love God by keeping His laws, they will inherit the prosperity that is eternal – they will inherit the kingdom of God. Christians who neglect the laws of God are being lawless. To them, Jesus will say, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness” (Matthew 7:23). They will miss out on the eternal inheritance as they will be burning in hell. Right there is another reason why I am passionate about the return of Jesus and the rewards awaiting His obedient servants; I am also called to teach and preach about the eternal prosperity of the soon coming kingdom of God.

I will end with this: “Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. The ungodly are not so” (Psalms 1:1-4).

God bless you.
