Christians have two major weaknesses. The first weakness is our propensity to sin. Thanks be to God who has taken care of that weakness by giving us the Holy Spirit who enables us to resist sin and to do the commandments of God (Ezekiel 36:27). The second weakness is our often-times-inability to pray in accordance with the perfect will of God. This weakness has also been taken care of by God. By the Holy Spirit who now lives inside every one of us, we can pray the most perfect prayers.

It is written in Romans 8:26 that:“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought.” It is also written in 1 Corinthians 14:2 that, “For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God.” When we put these two verses together, we see that one of the ways the Spirit helps us to overcome our weakness of not knowing what and how to pray is by us speaking, or praying in tongues. When we pray in tongues, it is the Holy Spirit praying to God on our behalf, through our spirit. And because it is the Spirit of God that is praying through us, we can be sure that we are praying exactly what God would want us to pray at that moment. And that being the case, those prayers will definitely be answered, since they are being prayed by the Holy One within us. Hallelujah!

I shared with you last week how God revealed it to me in a dream on 30th August 2021 that LAT had entered a new phase of ministry. In that same dream, it was also revealed that by prayer and intercession, we shall be able to complete this new phase of ministry in a shorter time than the previous one. But what are the specific things we are to pray for so that we accomplish the will of God for this new phase in a shorter time? For now, we can only guess the answers to this question. However, our current ignorance of what specifically to pray for cannot stop us from praying for those specific things! By the Holy Spirit within us – as we pray in tongues – we shall be praying for exactly what God wants us to pray so that we complete this new phase of His work in LAT within a shorter period than the previous phase.

I therefore call upon all of you dear church members to take some time every day to pray in tongues for LAT. As you pray in tongues, have this prayer in your mind: “Father, let us complete this new phase in a shorter time than the previous one.” When you do that, what you will be praying in tongues will be the exact things which God will do so that His will of us completing this new phase in a shorter time comes to pass. By praying in tongues, the Holy Spirit will be helping in your weakness of not knowing what to pray for as you ought. And God will answer those prayers, and – to His glory – we shall complete the new phase of ministry in a shorter period than we did the previous one.

God bless you.
