Praise God Church.

In view of the recent bomb blasts that have taken place in the last few days, I thought I should share with you again an article I wrote in June when Gen. Katumba Wamala survived an assassination, and his daughter was killed. The message of that article was - and still is - that we shouldn't worry about our safety, but rather commit it to the Lord our Protector.

Be blessed.

I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore. (Psalm 121)

In the wake of the assassination attempt on General Katumba Wamala and the murder of his dear daughter and driver, some of you must be asking yourselves: “Am I and my loved ones safe?” Well, I want to encourage you child of God that the LORD Most High is your keeper and protector. He has been watching over you and your loved ones all this long and He will continue to do so.

I am reminded of a certain gentleman who a couple of years ago, after exposing rot and evil within a certain segment of society, had a dream in which he was being told that he had survived an assassination by the perpetrators of the rot and evil. That same day after the dream, when he sat down to read his Bible as was his custom, the Bible flung open to Psalm 121, which you have just read. This ‘coincidence’ not only confirmed to the dreamer that indeed an attempt had been made on his life and God had protected him, but was also a promise from the LORD that: “The LORD shall preserve your (his) going out and your (his) coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.” (Psalm 121:8)

Please do not worry about your safety or that of the people you love, especially since worry won’t do you any good. Instead of being anxious, read and meditate on Psalm 121. With its guidance, acknowledge that the Almighty Creator of heaven and earth who neither sleeps nor slumbers is your keeper. Then thank Him for that – for always watching over you. Then go ahead and claim or confess the promise that: “The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore,” (Psalm 121:8). Then leave the rest in His good and able hands.

God bless you.
