A couple of days ago, a friend of mine had a dream in which God was essentially telling a mutual friend of ours that: “I am still working on the job I promised you.” Wow!

It has been several years since God first promised this person that very good job. In addition to those many years of waiting, contradictions to God’s promise have also often arisen. However, “friend” has kept the faith. And God has often, like recently, communicated to “friend” that His promise will one day come to pass.

I believe that God is also speaking to you today, that He is still working on fulfilling what He promised. Yes, it is true that years have come and gone without you seeing what God said He would give or do for you. But take heart and keep believing, because “He who promised is faithful” (Hebrews 10:23).

I for one am also in the waiting phase. Many years ago, God vividly told me He was going to give me lots of money so that I use it to bless people. I have not yet seen that happening. All I hear from God is: “I am still working on what I promised you. In the meantime, be faithful in sharing of the little I give you.” I remember a dream I had on 2nd December 2017. In the dream, I met my former schoolmate Mr. Paul Bwiso who is the CEO of Uganda Securities Exchange (USE). I then told him that, “Since moments ago I met the Board Chairman of USE and I have now met you the CEO, it means I am going to have a lot of money.” It is now five years, and I have not touched the “a lot of money.” But this one thing I know: “He who promised is faithful” (Hebrews 10:23), and I must remain faithful by being generous with the little He gives me now.

One of the things that bring God the greatest pleasure is when humans believe Him. That is why it is written that “without faith it is impossible to please Him” (Hebrews 11:6). Therefore, let us purpose to please God – by believing His word – during this time of waiting for the fulfilment of His promise. “He who promised is faithful” (Hebrews 10:23), and He says that, “I am watching to see that My word is fulfilled” (Jeremiah 1:12 NIV). Indeed, God is working on what He promised us.

Hallelujah!
