Just as was emphasized last week, we must give the more earnest heed to the sermons “Entering Our Promised Land, Parts 1 and 2” which Joan Isoke preached recently. I am emphasizing this because on Friday 20th January after her first sermon, Joan had a dream wherein God commanded her to preach again the three points of her sermon. Once again, this is Joan’s dream in her own words:

"I was at home preparing what to preach on Sunday. I had my notebook in one hand while looking through a drawer for a pen. As I looked for the pen, I was also praying in tongues about the sermon. Then when I got the pen, I heard a small audible voice telling me to repeat the three points of the sermon for the previous Sunday. Then I awoke."

This dream from God not only validates Joan’s first sermon that we are entering our Promised Land, but also proves without a shadow of doubt that God is serious about it – us entering our Promised Land. Now, seeing that God is very serious and committed about us entering into our promises from Him, we also should be serious about what He has told us in that regard, specifically the three points Joan preached. These points are once again summarized below, but I encourage you to again listen to Joan’s messages. Remember that repetition leads to retention, and “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).

Point No. 1: Review your history

While you were in the wilderness waiting for God's promises to come to pass, you definitely learnt several important lessons, for example, how you ended up in the wilderness, and the faithfulness of God. Reviewing those lessons will keep you in the Promised Land into which you are now entering.

Point No. 2: Walk in faith

True faith thinks and talks in accordance with the word of God. As it is written, "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7), and, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit" (Proverbs 18:21). You must therefore think and speak in line with God’s revealed will. It should not be said of you that, "The word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith" (Hebrews 4:2).

Point No. 3: Obey God.

As you enter into what God promised you, you shall need to obey Him in the small and big things. Ask Moses, and he will tell you that disobedience, even in small things can be very costly! (Numbers 20:12, Deuteronomy 3:27, 34:4). For you to enter and remain in your Promised Land, you need to continually walk in obedience to God in all areas of your life, and you must always do only that which He tells you.

God bless you.
