I had a friend in a certain African country who told me how his now deceased uncle became the President’s pilot. The story goes that when the airline company whose planes the uncle was previously flying collapsed, he was left suffering without a job for a long time. Then one day, out of the blue, he received a surprise phone call inviting him to meet the President. When he got there, he was told that since the time he lost his job, the State’s secret agents had been trailing him, gathering intelligence about him, in order to ascertain that his character, friends, political views, whether he loves the ‘bottle’ or not, among other things, were of a man to be trusted with flying the most important person in the land.

This true story is an illustration of what actually goes on with us in the unseen spirit world. Many a time, God has a special work to be done on earth, and He needs a human to work with. Unknown to us, God sends out His secret agents the angels to gather all relevant information about us. They then take their findings, good or bad, back to God.

Years ago, I had a dream in which I was going for a job interview. The interview was to take place inside a car. As I walked to the car, I could tell that my interviewers were, as part of the interview, scrutinizing how I was walking! When I awoke, the Spirit told me that God had a work to be done and He was observing my ‘walk’ to see if I was the right person He could use for a particular assignment. Weeks later, I dreamt that I had passed the interview. Glory to God.

When the Lord goes on a ‘man hunt’, will He find you worthy of the honor of working with Him on a project special to Him? I pray He will, like He did with Paul who said: “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,” (1 Timothy 1:12). All you need to do is to be faithful with whatever He has told you to do now, however small or insignificant in the eyes of man it may be. And, live like a Christian – “walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him” (Colossians 1:10). “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him,” (2 Chronicles 16:9).

‘They’ are watching you, watching all you do.

God bless you.
