Though believers generally are meant to overcome the world while being in the world, there are some who are the exception to the rule who are meant to overcome the world from outside of the world. People who overcome the world from outside it (or from where they are not in contact) are overcoming the world by abstinence whereas those who overcome the world while in the world (or engaged) overcome by moderation or gauging how much to be involved and how much to hold off. Outsiders shouldn't envy or even feel inferior to insiders and insiders shouldn't envy or feel inferior to outsiders because each side is living by the grace and permissions they are given for the troubles and advantages that they have to live with.
