As believers, we’ve all been there — or will be. We may earnestly seek God but, in return, only sense His silence. God’s silence on what we are seeking Him about can sometimes be difficult, exasperating, or even confusing. The Bible tells the experience of a man named Job who was righteous before God but when calamity stuck him, his family and entire estate, he experienced abysmal pain and suffering and cried out to God. He relentlessly sought for answers. In the first 37 chapters of the Book of Job, his cries for God’s help and relief are met only by God’s deafening silence. We know that with God, every word He speaks is for a purpose and every moment of silence is equally purposeful.
