A child of God who desires to be victorious in this life must not only read but also devote their time to studying the word of God. Before the Israelites entered their promised land, God instructed them to meditate on His word day and night in order for them to be prosperous and have good success. As LAT, we are in our promised land. This also implies that we have to wage warfare for some of our promises to come to pass just like the Israelites did. Studying God's word, which is the sword of the Spirit will help us win these battles.
